Finishing Touches

A friend of ours rescues unwanted items from the scrapyard where he works and converts them into unusual pieces of furniture. He knew we were looking for a small table to accompany our seat in the back garden and very kindly made this: the base is made out of a galvanised water tank, while the top is some old scaffolding planks. It gives the finishing touch to the patio by the back door.

After we’d collected it this morning we had a stroll across the fields to Sharpham before watching the England game against Croatia. A very professional performance and good to see Raheem Sterling providing the finishing touch.
