All Saints Church - Thorp Arch

On a pleasant bike ride today, we stopped beside this old Norman style Church to enjoy our sandwiches. We do seem to have a wealth of historic Churches in this country. 
This one is located in a slightly elevated position about 1/2 a mile outside the village and it was locked and deserted, even though it is a Sunday. The sundial on the tower would have been little use today, as it has been overcast and humid all day, in spite of being promised "a scorcher" by the weather forecasters.
