Heirloom

Here is my playmat. Bad Granny made it for me.

Alexander is big enough to appreciate it now. He is a bit young to understand my explanations though:
The big flower shrubbery was the settee, I think the other sort might have been a skirt;
The train track was my dad's shorts (and I think, a sailor cap, which now sounds rather camp - I'm not sure he wore them together though and it was the 70s);
The cabbages is my mum's dress (and Liberty lawn, I think)

Like a good patchwork quilt, it reminds you of things. All good :)
