Henry Hudson Monument

Went biking today down thru South Riverdale and took my first break in Henry Hudson Park. I've always found it peciliar how we say that Henry Hudson 'discovered' the Hudson River, while all along Native American's lived along it for thousands of years before Hudson mistakenly sailed up it. Anyways, its a nice monument to a long ago explorer. Here's a shot of the setting of it in the park as well as a close up crop.
