Whilst the door which used to be here was half-glassed the opaque lower half predominated, particularly when the glass was frosted and view-unfriendly. If there was something of interest to be looked at in the morning the wingpiglet had to be hoicked up above the sink to peer through the small bit of window remaining above the things it was necessary to store on the windowsill beside the sink. There will still be a windowsill above a sink below this window but hopefully the extra space all around it will mean fewer things shoved on the windowsill.
