The Poet's Wife
A very beautiful rose (from David Austin, rose grower). A kind of lemon scent, and pale yellow leaves that catch the light in the early mornings and late afternoons. This one is not so much gracefully tumbling as actually throwing herself over the edge of the wall now, with the weight of the blooms. So some kind of rescue and support operation is on the cards for tomorrow. And of course I am looking forward to the day when David Austin markets an equally gorgeous rose named The Poet's Husband :-)
A busy day: a few hours with Luca in the morning, pottering about. An afternoon shift in the local library, which - for the first time since pre-Covid days - was actually busy, I'm happy to report. So I'm tired now, and will be doing a proper Blip catch-up tomorrow...
