Brave, Brilliant, Minature Irises

They are always out immediately after the crocuses here, with their sturdy little stems and flowers. They will need to be tough tonight, it is snowing again, just after I said the snow was melting yesterday! I did try to get a mountain view but they were shrouded in cloud all day and my short cross country sortie made me feel quite queasy in the whiteout, as I followed tracks that kept disappearing. So thank goodness for these bright sparks of colour. I must have taken 40 shots of these, with both cameras, but the yellow tongue just does not focus! Why?
