Stunning Scottish Light
The light on our long journey north has been totally resplendent... Amazing tones of diffuse neopanism gracefully sweeping across the beautiful landscape. And IMHO there is no finer view when this lovely light meets the salt-greyed tarmac of the A74M with wind turbines spinning serenely in the distance. This section of motorway, one my favourite in the country, is now lined with mile after mile of wind farms. In this light they are a truly stirring sight! And when heading north the plethora of turbines herald beautifully the Central Belt as Glasgow radio rises into range and the motorway winds wonderfully through the Clyde Valley.
Here is a shot from the same spot, taken in June 2011, before construction was completed.
AND HERE is todays view from behind the scenes. Thanks to PEACHYRAITH!
