What a feast.
Home again from a wonderful short break.
One of our best ever, partly due to the fabulous weather.
Fortunately a bit cooler today for our drive home.
First stop on the way was a visit toThe Norfolk Sea Larder, in Briston.
A family run fishing business. The crabs, lobsters and other fish are brought in by their own boats. Couldn’t be fresher.
We bought a large crab, cockles, and hot smoked salmon. All very reasonably priced.
Then to Letheringsett mill to buy some bread, made with their freshly milled flour. Inside the shop I watched as the flour was being ground, and bagged.
Then to Adnams where we bought a few bottles of our favourite French white Burgundy, and a few bottles of their beer for Mr C.
Next was lunch. Once again at Brancaster Staithe, where we had crab sandwiches from the little hut, and some fruit cake provided by Allison.
Our final stop was Drove Orchards Farm Shop, where we bought local asparagus and strawberries.
What an enjoyable evening meal we have had.
Just in from watering the garden. Actually not looking quite was bad as I thought as I had moved most of the pots into the shade before we went away.
Next job is to start the washing!
Thank you all for the kind comments, stars and hearts while we have been away.
I will try to catchup with everyone soon, and then be back to normal.
Extra photo taken from our bedroom window when we woke up this morning.
