Disintegrating children

Isn't it always the way, that soon as any realistic warranty period is up, things start falling off the child?

Thought I would spend some more time learning to use my camera on manual mode, to stop me eyeing up a fancier camera body. But it's made me want the fancier model even more, as I could really do with a dedicated back button for focus.
