Somerset House.....
Our first journey on a train for 15 months today. I’d got tickets for the London Design Biennale 2021 exhibition at Somerset House. Such a brilliant and challenging exhibition focusing on the need to use creativity to change so much in our world, to save it.
“The Biennale explores the vital role of design in addressing challenges and providing solutions, bringing participants together to formulate and exchange ideas around the major issues of our time: from the pandemic to climate crisis, cultural heritage to social equity.”
Our church supports and follows the 18 Sustainable Development Goals which were the centre of the the exhibition. My extras. They connect so well with the charity HHA which began in Haiti and now also works among refugees in Uganda and South Sudan.
London was so quiet today. We walked from London Bridge along Southbank and across Waterloo Bridge to get to Somerset House. Then back again of course. Good to be there on a beautiful day and before it gets busy again.
