It was a delight to watch birds at the feeders and in the nearby trees today. Here the mother Hairy Woodpecker is feeding her fledgling suet.
I've been surprised how many birds that are not ordinarily suet eaters, eat it during nesting and fledging season. I have even seen a Robin picking up suet that has fallen to the deck and flying off with it.
In the extra, a male American Goldfinch nabs a seed.
Thanks for your comments, stars, and fave for "Landing Gear Down!". I saw the male Western Tanager again today, however, I wasn't able to get any good captures.
