Ripples

I'm going to be absent from Blip for awhile. Today I had surgery on my right index finger.  The finger I use to take photos :-((
I have a lesion under my fingernail, possibly a melanoma, so today I had the nail removed and biopsy taken. I naively thought I would still be able to use my middle finger but at the moment my whole hand is immobilized and will be for a week or so.   If the biopsy comes back positive for melanoma I will loose some of my finger then I am going to have to learn a whole new way of using my camera (and a knife, pen, potato peeler etc, etc).  The good news today is that the surgeon thought the lesion hadn't spread and therefore probably hasn't gone into my lymph nodes.
