Life in Sunny Dubai

Yesterday, a chance phone call to the Holy Trinity Church office resulted in  G being able to attend a physical service! As long as her name is on the list, she will be allowed in, and this evening, when we approached the Security Guard to give our names, Joseph, who informed her of the policy change, was there to ensure she was allowed in. How cool is that? As it was still light, (sunset is around 7 pm these days), I took the opportunity to get a shot of the church building that we have so many memories of from the time I started going (in 1984) and also when G arrived in Dubai. SweetArt got married here. It looks much more like a worship centre now than it ever did in the past.

G took herself to school in the morning and then we both went to Deira City Centre to do a grocery shop. We had a walkabout before to check out the changes in this mall that we stopped going to five years ago. And in the evening, after returning home from the SA meeting, I had to visit two nearby hardware stores to get a shower hose as mine ruptured in the morning, fortunately after I'd had my shower! All done for less than £10 - part AND labour and in less than thirty minutes! :))
