Grey Heron

The young one was in the middle of the loch today. She spotted me as her head went up and she looked directly over. She did not move though. I thought that perhaps she was now displaying adult caution and was not going to come over. There was a young couple standing yards away from me and as soon as they left she was straight over. She had most of her fish until a swan drew close and I was relieved to see her head back to her branch.
