woodland walking Wednesday...

hot and sunny... again!!

We were meant to be going to Hyde Hall today for a walk, but the local roads decided to conspire against us with gridlocked roads everywhere so we decided it safer to stay home!

I had some mail to post, so that got me out of the house and ended up coming home via the woods which were lovely and cool - and empty! Nice to see lots of wildflowers, bugs and birdies about and this Speckled Wood butterfly was happy to pose for a while.

back on the ice lollies this afternoon to cool down!
