Changing skies

Such a lovely sky on my way home after a fab day.

This afternoon we had a "Grand Afternoon". The children invited their Grandparents or Grandfriends to a school for an afternoon of chat about outdoor games and play that they used to play when they were kids. We had demonstrations, kids playing games with their grandparents, rhymes, chants and the room buzzed with happiness and purpose. I loved it.

The children returned to class to let their Grands have tea and biscuits and they then kept remembering other games and rhymes. It was so rich.

We have also recruited 10 Grands to help in and around school - on trips, at tuckshop and helping in class. Just a bit delighted at that result!!

Family Learning Week next week, so we hope the Grands all return for our showcase afternoon next Friday. Great fun and what wonderful people.
