In Perry Wood
Packed plenty in to the day. A meeting of the allotment working group this morning resulted in a list of questions for the Council to answer in writing to provide further information about their proposals.
The mood of the majority of plotholders is to vigorously oppose the Plan to move us off our site. We have an AGM next Tuesday when we’ll discuss and agree our position.
From there we drove down to Canterbury, stopping at the Rose and Crown in Perry Woods near Selling for lunch. It was just perfect, sitting outside, enjoying steak and ale pie which we were sorry to get to the end of!
We were going to Canterbury to call in at Hobgoblin Music to see if Susan could chose a new guitar - something she was wanting last year for her milestone birthday - she spent a very happy time with a very knowledgable and talented assistant trying out and discussing various instruments before finally choosing the rather good sounding and good looking Faith Naked Venus guitar.
We drove back towards Perry Wood, which is a wonderful area for walking through a fine array of woodlands and orchards on a lovely summer’s evening. Which is where we saw this rather twisted, decaying and fascinating “tree”. How many human forms can you see here?
