Cone in a Leaf

While gardening in the way too hot heat  89ºF ,  I saw this pine cone stuck in a large Mullien leaf. Unusual find to blip.
The Extra is from the under side.
No rain yet to cool us off, but I have hopes. I'll not got outside to garden today.
According to the weather people these are record breaking temperatures that we usually experience in the height of summer. We are still in spring season.
According to my brother (who is a global warming denier) this a climate change that happens every 500 years-- not caused by human actions.
Whatever the cause it looks like we are experiencing things to come as the New Normal.
