Bring back your "ginger" bottles!

I spotted this today and had to blip it.

This is a new recycling unit in Glasgow Caledonian University. It has three spaces for old cups, bottles and cans. The old cups end up as compost; the bottles are used to make recycled plastic products and the cans are sold in bulk to pay for the service itself. Basically the machine scrunches everything up.

For every item entered, the user gets a 5p voucher to be used in any of the catering on campus. This way customer buy-in is also encouraged. Every now and again the "magic cup" kicks in and a free meal voucher is dispensed.
