Life from city to village

Triathalon Championships

Another day volunteering at the World Triathalon in Leeds - same job as yesterday, and another 26,000 steps (13 miles) walked as I went back and forth between my team and also dealt with an issue on the route. The instructions we get as volunteers are really clear and enabled me to handle the issue appropriately.

This is one of the riders in the Championship (pre professional) coming down towards transition to the running part.

Really enjoyed myself even though I was hugely exhausted - the shift started just after 05:30, so I'd been up at 4:30am to get dressed and walk up. So worth it though. I'm still hugely proud that the Brownlee brothers brought the world triathalon to the city. Didn't stay to watch the professionals though as I was picked up to go down to a barbacue for John's sister - which was really lovely.
