Bourke St
It was like Bourke St on the dog beach yesterday! I don’t think I’ve ever seen it so crowded.
It was very nippy at dawn, so the folks turned on Ziggy’s heater, lay in bed watching the F1 replay, drinking coffee and chatting about the day. Then we had to nip home about 8.30 to let the tilers in.
The Sparrow had some work to do on the computer and the Silverback went off to the Men’s Shed music rooms. Apparently they were clearing out a big store room to set up a second rehearsal space for the Jazz devotes.
(As I predicted he’s managed to tempt a few others over to the dark side and there’s now a dedicated group of shadowy figures who only play those evil Lounge Lizard riffs!)
By the time we got to the dog beach it was mid morning. What a disorganised day!
The highlight was nipping down to The Captain’s Daughter for a fish and chip lunch - the Sparrow never manages to empty her plate. Enzo to the rescue again! It’s a tough job, but...............!

International Auntie footnote:
(Bourke Street is the Main Street in Melbourne, containing most of the larger department stores and shops. It’s mostly pedestrianised but trams still run through the middle of it. It’s famously crowded with pedestrians, although not this year!)
