Swim

Took hound for morning walk. Encountered fellow dog walker and husky, Storm and walked together.  Murray hot when we returned despite my spritzing him with cool water during the walk. Booked swim for 10.10 on the pool app. The water temperature was 21°C, chilly at first but so refreshing after a few lengths. The pool is 90metres long (98 yards) and the longest in the UK. It's deep in the middle.  I hadn't been swimming for about 18 months - a very long time for me.  One huge perk from the pandemic is the restriction of numbers in the pool which means there is space for swimmers.  Previousl hot summers,  queues have snaked round the outside of the pool enclosure and the water has been so cloudy and greasy with sunscreen you couldn't see your hand on an outstretched arm. Today was sheer bliss.
After cycled to the market for bread and spanokopittas - spinach & feta cheese pastries and bought 3 secondhand books for £6. 
Boiled eggs and made mayonnaise  - summer salad dinners from now on.
