Tufted duck (male)

I visited a lake today that I've known for years has been there, but I had never visited. It is literally half a mile from the hospital where I work,in the grounds of Reading University. Was I just feeling lazy and didn't want to venture out too far or was it curiosity that led me there today?

Whatever it was I am so glad that I did. It was beautifully tranquil and peaceful despite forming part of a student campus. If only it was a little warmer. Still a few nice summer evenings, chilling by the waterside after work to look forward to now :)
