Holiday Monday at the River

Its been a wonderful day off, I’ve lazed around most of the day and a few little jobs got done but nothing major.  We headed to the river for a good long walk this afternoon and there were lots of these lovely Purple Swamphens foraging at the rivers edge.  This one stared at me long and hard and flicked its tail a few times as if it was going to walk off but didnt. That gave me enough time to get this lovely shot!  I’ve had to give mono Monday a miss in favour of Mrs Swamp Hen’s beautiful colours!  : )
