Monty's map room

we took my mum to Duxford today to look at Monty's caravans and learn a bit more about his war. My grandad had a clerical role , being about 40 when he was called up, and travelled wherever Monty did at the time.  My mum has been looking into her family  history and knew of some of the places he'd been to but it was great to see the actual route taken (see extra) which was on display . Main photo is of the  mobile map room.   Although there were lots of documents on display not surprisingly we couldn't  see anything directly related to my grandfather but perhaps he may have typed some of them!
