One of the surprise aquilegia I got in a delivery of plugs last summer (that never flowered) survived the winter and appeared in the garden this spring — not the colour I was expecting at all, but I quite like it.

A very garden-heavy day; trip to the garden centre first thing and then lots of jobs both before and after lunch! Far warmer weather than we expected, we had to keep taking respite in the shade!
