Duck, Duck, Goose

I meant to photograph the gorgeous lupines which are blooming in great purple drifts all over the place, but somehow I ended up with this proud mother duck and her triplets in the cove this morning, and a gaggle of silly geese milling about at the bottom of someone's driveway on Westport Island.  They seemed particularly interested in the signs which read "Watch for Chickens" and "Fresh Eggs".  Maybe they wanted to make an omelet?
