Sarah & Duck at the seaside

After L fell out of bed (wall on the other side to home) but amazingly stayed asleep, N and I were on tenterhooks for the rest of the night! Thankfully she didn’t do it again. She was awake early (as usual) so we had breakfast and checked out.

We got to Hastings early for a walk around the Rock-a-Nore part of the seafront. We watched some of the early morning swimmers and some of the fishing boats come in before giving L some time in the seafront playground.

We headed back to Bexhill later for Sarah & Duck, live at the De La Warr Pavilion. It was a socially distanced audience - sofas for each group, all spread out. The show was lovely - very gentle and whimsical, just as we expected from Sarah & Duck. L loved it.

A quick ice cream afterwards and we got on the road to go straight to my parents for a BBQ. Great end to a really lovely weekend.

We might have only been away for one night but it’s really made a difference - felt like a holiday.
