Derelict Sunday

Every now and then on my local walks I seem to come across dumped electrical goods. Back in November it was a flat-screen TV, In March it was an alien-like old TV or computer monitor, today it was this remnant of what I assume was the casing for a washing machine drum, with the heating element still attached. Interesting!

(Note: we had our weekly "pilgrimage" walk to Killingworth Lake to check on the coot & grebe chicks.  I decided to spare you yet another photo of them as they weren't doing anything interesting, but I'm pleased to report that the coot family haven't lost any more chicks (they still have 3) and there are still 3 grebe chicks too.)
