Blue Jay

I am trying to keep a record of when my new plants flower in the first year of our new garden.  I haven't had much luck with dephiniums previously but the name of this one reminded me of my eldest nephew, James, and I was attracted by its name, Blue Jay.  It seems to be doing well but I didn't expect the flower to twine its way up the cane.

A very wet morning has turned into a warm and pleasant afternoon.
