The "No Mow May" challenge.
We went to the village of Jordans, near Beaconsfield to support the open garden Hospital Scan Appeal this afternoon.
Despite starting off in a shower of rain in Aylesbury we enjoyed warm sunshine in the gardens. Three gardens were open and the rains of the past few weeks has resulted in tremendous growth in the flower borders and lovely blossoms and colours,
PS. Good tea and cake.
The blip is to recognise the No Mow in May challenge which has received quite a lot of publicity as a way of encouraging wild flowers to bloom and produce seed. One gardener had evidence that it works.
