Rosa Rugosa...Dog Rose
The Rosa Rugosa are flowering well, pink, white and red, and the wide open flowers are a magnet for bees, although strangely, there were very few in evidence today. The nigella and valerian are now becoming predominant, and taking over from the aquilegia.
The sun was hot, hot, hot in between the dark clouds this afternoon, and I spent a happy hour or so in the garden with a G& T and my book, soaking up the rays. I had the regular Whatsapp video call with D in Lincoln, several family visits arranged, so he was a happy bunny. .....and so was I :) A lovely relaxed day, and sausages for dinner :))
