A beautiful morning, though a bit warm, & the first of our club's Summer Series orienteering events, this time in Bridge Wood. It's an area of mixed woodland which slopes down to the Orwell Estuary - quite steep in places, but one of the few areas in East Anglia where we can practise reading contours, an essential skill if we want to orienteer in other parts of the country! It was good to be back in a real off-road event, & I even managed to include a scenic run along the shore to counterbalance the uphill sections.
