For blippers in England I wonder if you're aware of this worrying development.  A coherent case against this data grab is given by Rachel Clarke.  You really don't have long to opt out (June23rd) and to do so you need to complete this form and give it to your GP.  I am not clear what the case is in Scotland and if anyone can shed light on this I'd be grateful.
