70th birthday party

For JC. This is a fairly indifferent photo, but I wanted one of the party as it was such a lovely occasion. The cake was the one I made yesterday. We were in Blinkbonny, where LE who was hosting us lives, on the outskirts of Edinburgh where I had never been before. You drive up a long and narrow winding road and then you come upon a village all on its own. We had the regulation number of people (eight) which was just right as it was the team from when we all worked together. Thank goodness it stayed dry! 

I think we all felt it was a very special occasion as it made us see that things could be good again, as they were in the past.
