4am sunrise

L's home care alarm went off at 4am, so I got a call to pop round and check is she was ok.
Thankfully all fine. She was confused about what time it was and had been struggling to make a cup of tea. I made tea and very soon she decided she was pretty tired and would go back to bed.

Back home, I had an early breakfast of a crumpet with peanut butter and listened to a lecture from the Hay Festival, then I returned to bed myself for a couple of hours. 

Later, after a second breakfast of granola and fruit, the day began again.
