Arresting View
When we saw this view we had to pull over and take the picture. I love how the top of the range is almost horizontal. This was driving down the southern side of the Lindus Pass 971 mts. I will look on a map and try and figure out what mountain range that is. The trip was easy with two drivers. There is noticably less traffic with the boarders closed.
The forester was pleased to see us. When I have downloaded his photos I can show what he got up to. He did say it was very steep country they covered. I wouldn't have liked it at all. There was little evidence of predators found which means the trapping programme they have going is working. More traps were laid this trip. Interestingly peanut butter is used to attract the pests. One of the tasks was to put out special cards with peanut butter on them in a tunnel. The animal walks over the card to get the peanut butter and leaves a record of it's foot prints. The cards are collected the next day and the tally recorded.
