The sky’s the limit
The easterly airflow has finally loosened its grip. The so called prevailing westerly has returned. It has been conspicuous by its absence this winter. When the wind is from the west the planes line up over the Forth to make their final approach. Despite the travel restrictions due to Covid it has been one of the busiest days for air traffic into Edinburgh since the first lockdown. (One flight had come from Kiev in the Ukraine. It was returning as a cargo only flight.)
This cloud formation was also unusual. I could not make up my mind if the wispy clouds were cirrus or fractured contrails. Either way I thought they deserved being blipped!
T was busy in the garden dividing bulbs and sharing with our neighbours over the street WhatsApp group.
We also finally despatched two pieces of surplus antique furniture. It will be interesting to see if they have earned their keep as they go up for auction next month.
