Eyeing up our lunch

This black-headed gull arrived to eye up our bacon sandwiches as we sat outside a cafe. We were surprised to see it's head was actually brown, a fact confirmed by a little online research. Even though it is classified in the UK as Amber under the Birds of Conservation Concern 4: the Red List for Birds (2015) we didn't share our sandwiches. It had the most amazingly bright red legs.
