I have been photographing this hawthorn for several years. It’s wild sown and I particularly like it’s pink flowers and that it is thriving in the middle of a footpath over in the dog walking field. I will have to see when it was in bloom last year but I suspect this year it is several weeks later due to the cool overcast May weather.

A day of work and feeling relieved it is Friday as the visiting and visitors of the long bank holiday weekend have left me feeling in need of some energy boosting activities.

We had a spell of steady rain all morning so the air has a humid heavy feel which is quite different to earlier in the week when it was warm and sunny and altogether lighter.
