Metamorphosis

Something is afoot
A change is underway
For now, it feels really good
I pray that it stays.

The last decade and more
Has passed in a haze
But the clouds are lifting
The sun, long overdue, finally on its way

I am emerging
From my bleak cocoon
Ready to start anew
Once I've dried my wings

I wonder if they still work?

If this is the real me
Unmedicated
Removed of numb
I think I like her

I hope she'll stay
Please stay

I've forgotten who she was
But anyway, she has changed
I'll find out who she is
In good time


There's no rush
