Barley, Buttercups and Cow Parsley

(... and a bike.)
At this time of year, our countryside takes some beating. The cow parsley is particularly  prolific at the moment and it seems that many of the roadside verges are being left to grow out where this does not obstruct visibility. 
This morning we made one of our regular trips to Sophie's excellent coffee shop in Hampsthwaite to meet friends for coffee, cake and a chat.
We are fortunate to live in such pleasant surroundings, as travel restrictions look like we will be spending most of the summer here. :(
