River of Flowers

Thursday: #30DaysWild

Mahonia "Charity" (often called "Oregon grape") - one of the best wildlife food plants in my garden, blackbirds are busy eating the fruit at the moment.
During the winter months overwintering bees and other pollinators have been feeding on its nectar  https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2776211160708417508
Blue tits and sparrows eat the flowers.
The leaves are very prickly, like holly, which makes it perfect for the little garden birds to hide from the birds of prey which often fly over ... hunting ...

Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
