Rowan Tree

When I was young I regularly had to sing the song at various concerts and I recently heard it sung by a popular singer on the radio. I did not like it that she pronounced it as Roh as in row your boat rather than row as in give the child a row. 
Most houses here have a Rowan Tree to keep away the witches. We have lots so there will be no witches here.
