This cold and pleasant land
Up at 6:30 and out on the bike at 7:30 for the 16 mile cycle to the field centre where I'm volunteering. Beautiful morning - as I peeled back the curtains I was greeted by brilliant sun and sideways snow. The snow had stopped by the time I got on my bike. As I opened the garage I disturbed two deer that scattered off down the road.
Beautiful, but hilly route. Arrived in about an hour and a half, which, considering the weight of my rucksack and the hills wasn't too bad going.
Nice group of children in, well behaved, and interested in the days activity of wildlife filmmaking. Cold, flurries of snow, but warm if you kept moving.
Left the farm at 5:30, got back home at 7. Almost a 12 hour day... And my legs are letting me know it. Not sure how I'll fare on the ride tomorrow... I hit the wall about 20 mins from home on the way home, staggered the last bit!
About time I got the motorbike MOTd.
This shows the village of Pensford.
