About to turn

Casualty

I pull a lot of maple and walnut seedlings while weeding, often with the helicopter seed or walnut still attached. The difference is that the helicopters fluttered down to land while the walnuts had a little squirrel help.

Long ago first-grade worksheet question:
teacher: why do animals bury their food for the winter?
daughter I: to keep it warm.

It was warmer and muggier and buggier today. Thunder perhaps tomorrow.
