Learning About Ferns

The girls and I have been trying to walk around Gilbert Run every day that we can. I have been teaching them about some of the plants and trees. They have new sequined unicorn string bags to stow any treasures that they find. 
This afternoon we walked up to the mailbox and found that some of the blackberries in the hedgerow were ripe. That was a fun, but really messy, adventure. I am so grateful that my daughter allows for messy play.
