March Snow
The green was creeping o'er the brown,
The skies dropt bluebirds yesterday;
Again today the snow is down,
And spring a thousand miles away.
And here's that mischief March again;
His four wild horses snort and prance;
He rides and pipes his weirdest strain
To lead the snowflakes' goblin dance.
(From April Snow by Caroline Spencer)
Not actually April snow, but the words seemed appropriate! A boring blip of snow on top of my dustbin. It's that snow that looks like the polystyrene beans you get in beanbags. At least I wasn't missing a glorious spring day while I spent the day asleep in bed!
Oh, for some sunshine! Is anyone else California Dreamin'?
