Foxy gloves

Another strange day at work, and another day done...

Today's blip is a foxglove plant that has appeared behind my apple trees. Today I gave the apple trees a good soaking with soapy water, in the hope that it reduces the aphid numbers from plague level to manageable. The ants and aphids are also massacring the red-currants... We really do need to diminished the ant numbers, so that the natural enemies of the aphids can swoop in and take them out. Gardening is a war, and at the moment I'm not winning and my allies aren't much help!
